Tradirend is partnered with Lathrend as a through-coloured finishing coat for use where breathability is not of prime concern, and where the hardness of the wall construction makes a pure lime product inappropriate. However as lime is still the main component, the finish still looks like a traditional lime render. This quality makes the Lathrend/Tradirend solution ideal for new build extensions to old properties.

Tradirend has a shelf life 6 to 8 months if stored somewhere dry and cool.

Grade - RG

Tradirend is a render made with natural hydraulic lime, white cement, sand and additives, carefully designed to give a durable high performance render. This render is generally used as a finishing coat of 6 to 15mm, normally as a finish coat over Lathrend. It only requires the addition of water.

A through coloured render topcoat with many of the benefits associated with a pure lime render such as good breathability, but made with the modern builder in mind. Contains NHL lime, cement and water repellents.

Tradirend is designed for a suitable background such as Lathrend. The background must be level, well keyed and dampened to control suction.

Fresh bulk density: 1700kg/m3 +/-100kg

 Mixing

Add full bags of Tradirend into a drum mixer. Avoid creating excessive dust. Add approximately 4 to 5 litres of clean water. Pour the water in slowly as the product mixes, using just enough to achieve the correct workability. Mix for between 3 to 10 minutes. Do not re-work. Please contact us for advice if required.

Application

Apply over a suitable basecoat such as Lathrend, ensuring that the background is clean, hard and has a good mechanical key. Adequately dampen the background to prevent rapid water loss from the render. For scraped finishes apply approx. 8mm and scrape back to 5mm; for floated finishes apply 5 to 6mm thick. Do not attempt to level up or build out using Tradirend. Uneven thicknesses will dry differently and cause colour variation. Complete entire elevations working with a continuous wet edge, finishing only on corners or natural breaks (e.g. behind down pipes etc.). Do not use in temperatures less than 5 ºC or over 30ºC and do not apply in direct sunlight.

Finishing

Do not over work or polish Tradirend. Suitable finishing techniques include scraping, sponge float, casting on, and sprayed finishes
