Mark has just got back from southern Germany. He and our waterglass paint supplier Beeck and colleagues at Cornish Lime have been going through the improvements being made to some primers and paints to overcome problems of decorating old patchy backgrounds and the necessity for self-priming sol waterglass paints, with the increasing use of mineral paints on new builds.
At the end of the meeting we called in at Ulm and its minster, the tallest church in the world. Just to catch the evening sun shining through the west window, lighting the high nave with its rib vaulted ceiling, with its apparent lightness of construction.
Next to the cathedral a wine festival was underway, a good way to end a productive day.
